Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 is now Free

Yup, that's right Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 is available for a free download now from Microsoft. Too bad they haven't made the Mac edition free.

But, nevertheless if you need a PC virtualization solution or you want to run multiple PC-based operating systems like Linux, OS/2, Windows 98, Windows XP all together, simulatenously on one PC, give Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 a go. To put in real IT terms it's tremendous value for the money or no money :)

Download Internet Explorer 7: Beta 2

So, finally the preview 2 of Microsoft Intenet Explorer 7.0 is now available for download; this time  officially, after it was leaked last week all over the internet.  Here's a quick summary of what's new:

  • New toolbars & interface with a search box
  • Tabbed browsing (finally!) - Just like Firefox, no need to open new windows
  • RSS feeds
  • Better security features, which alert you if the site you are browsing is suspicious

Almost makes you wonder what the fuss was all about.  Frankly, we aren't impressed. Sure, the features are new for Microsoft, but they aren't for someone who is using Mozilla Firefox; things like tabbed browsing have existed in Firefox since the very early versions.  In fact, the IE 7 almost now looks  like a customized version of Firefox.  But, if you still want to have a dekho, you can click here to download (it is about 12MB in size) > Read more
